​The Red Squares/Rectangles are a continuation of the "square box concept", meaning the only real thing, (aside from physical paint on canvas) that is definable are the borders of the canvas' or, metaphorically, thinking in a box. I purposely let red dominate because  it sets a mood. They stand out, forcing me to look at them. The darker tones seem to become suggestions or insinuations of something beyond. The lighter they became, the closer I would have to " study" the painting. It dawned on me that there were 2 realities at play with each other, the red in it's own right and then the non-descript forms gravitating in some direction. I was wondering if this was multi tasking or actually seeing beyond the box ?
